Although Mike began his career at Walt Disney World as an actor in 1980, after formal training in photography he was selected to be part of the opening of the Disney Fine Art Studio in 1992. Since then he has photographed people from all over the world. His work has been featured in Modern Bride, Elegant Bride, People Magazine and Photo District News and has appeared on Lifetime Television’s Weddings of a Lifetime.
From luminaries in the photographic industry he has honed his craft to what it is today. From Tony Corbell he learned the science and art of light and how to “see” it the way the old masters such as Rembrandt and DaVinci did. From Hanson Fong, Clay Blackmore, and the late, great Don Blair and Monte Zucker he learned how the beauty and elegance of posing and lighting can create emotions in an image. But Mike would say that the real learning has come from the people he has had the honor to photograph for over 25 years.
